sustainability

no green stickers without proof.

most restaurant sustainability pages are written by the marketing department’s imagination. this one is written by our operations reality. it has three sections: what is true today, what we are working toward, and what we will not claim until we can prove it.

intentions are labelled as intentions. when something below becomes fact, we’ll move it up.

today

where we are

packaging: the box has one job

the bowl, the vented lid and the sealed sauce cups are chosen so your food arrives hot, intact and properly sauced — the lid even doubles as a shallow plate. we have not put any of it through independent materials certification, so we make no environmental claims about it. when a certified option meets the food-safety bar, we’ll switch and show the paperwork.

waste: we bin food on purpose

batch labels carry a four-hour fuse, and a delivery bowl that sits fifteen minutes past pack time is remade, not sent. those rules are why the food is right — and they create surplus. cooking to a short daily menu keeps it smaller than it could be; where that surplus goes next is the part we’re still building — see below.

working toward

where we’re going

these are commitments in progress — targets, not achievements. none of them is done yet.

  • waste tracking at close-down

we're building surplus and prep-waste logging into the daily closing routine, so 'we waste less' can eventually be a number we publish rather than a feeling we have.

  • donation partnerships

our target is that safe, unsold food goes to people rather than landfill. we are actively seeking donation partners around bahria town and rawalpindi who can collect on a schedule that keeps food safe. if your organisation does this work, we would genuinely like to hear from you.

  • packaging that earns a claim

we keep trialling certified alternatives to the current bowls and lids as they become available here. the food-safety bar — hot, sealed, sauce intact after a forty-minute ride — does not move; a material that passes it and carries real certification replaces what we use now.

the line we hold

what we won’t say

  • no “eco-friendly” stickers without certification. until our packaging passes independent materials certification, you will not see a leaf icon on our boxes or the words “green”, “eco” or “planet-friendly” in our marketing.

  • no claiming targets as achievements. “we are seeking donation partners” will never be written as “we donate all surplus food”. the tense matters. we keep it accurate.

  • no borrowed statistics. you won't see percentages about our waste here until they come from our own close-down logs — not from an industry report we pasted in.

when we can prove it, you’ll read it here first.

most of this starts in the kitchen routine — short daily batches, labels with fuses, and delivery rules that put the food before convenience. see how a kitchen day runs.
